Arrival day
On arrival at JK Nyerere International Airport our safari manager will meet you and drive to Dar es salaam. Then will go through your safari program before leaving you to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities.
Overnight at Dar es salaam.
Day 1: Dar es salaam - Mikumi NP
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your safari driver guide then start the tour. It will take about 3hrs to reach Morogoro region whereby your wild adventures begin there. The memorable safaris will start at the main gate (Entrance gate) as the time to proceed with the game drive.
Mikumi National Park hosts Buffalos, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Crocodiles, Elephants, Lions, a few to mention. Mikumi is an important educational and research Centre. Late Afternoon you will drive back to Mikumi for overnight.
Day 2: Mikumi – Ruaha National NP
Your 5 days Mikumi, Selous/Nyerere National Park & Ruaha tour continues after breakfast, you will drive to Ruaha National Park to experience the abundant of wildlife division within the first (larger) than all National Parks in Tanzania.
It hosts large herds of Buffaloes as well as Greater and Lesser Kudus, Grant’s Gazelles, Wild Dogs, Ostrich, Cheetahs, Roan and Sable Antelopes and more than 400 different types of birds. Ruaha is notable for its wild and striking topography, especially around the Great Ruaha River. After the game drive, accommodation will be at Ruaha
Day 3: Full Day Game Drive at Ruaha National Park
On this day of your 5 days Tanzania safaris in Southern circuit we will take you for an early morning game drive with packed breakfast box and lunch box. Early morning game drive gives you a chance to see some nocturnal animal coming back from their long night of hunting or a group of lionesses organizing an ambush and some other animal waking up ready to start their new day.
After full game drive, will take you for the overnight at Ruaha or any other related.
Day 4: Ruaha – Selous/Nyerere National Park
This is your last day in Ruaha, if you wish you can do another early morning game drive & spend much time in Ruaha doing game drives then in the afternoon after lunch you will start your way to Selous/Nyerere National Park.
Overnight at Selous or similar.
Day 5: Game Drive at Selous/Nyerere National Park
At the heart of Southern Tanzania, is the Selous/Nyerere National Park a vast wilderness area in Tanzania. It is also the home of large herds of Elephants, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Hippos and Wild dogs. Also, it is among of the Tanzanian’s last remaining Black Rhinos.
Therefore, this day will be a full day game drive as the last day on the safari according to the itinerary. Accommodation will be at Dar es salaam.
